and I'll be the first one to admit it. Shoots go by and I don't set enough time aside to blog. Hmph. Well, I guess it's time to play catch-up. I am going to do my best to post past sessions here from the end of May on. I probably won't write anything about them...just post...I don't know. I guess we'll find out!

Terrell Wedding- Treasure Valley Photographer

Boise had me scared a bit, I'm not going to lie. The day before this wedding it was raining, snowing and hailing...no joke!! We got such beautiful weather the day of the wedding that all was good. It was a bit chilly and windy but nothing that they couldn't handle. Photographing Nick and Michelle's wedding was so great! You couldn't ask for nicer and more laid back people and such an amazing family! Thank you for letting me be a part of it all!

I love this shot not only because of the connection between the bride and groom but because of the connection between their family in the background.

Sometimes you just gotta shoot for yourself.

It seems to be the trend more recently that the only time I pull out my camera is when I have a photoshoot and I don't like that...so I changed it. About two to three times a year our Canon trainer (I also work for a camera shop) comes to town and brings all his goodies. It only makes sense to take it all out and play with it! We all met up for coffee and then took a trip down the street to the cutest and most awesome antique shop in town called The Shabby House. The Shabby House consists of an old house with a bunch of antiques in it and a beautiful BEAUTIFUL property. It's pretty much a photographers dream location because there are so many different things to take pictures of and so many spots to use as a background. They've changed a lot since the first time I went there and have added on a lot of extra space. They've been closed all week because they are preparing for a benefit evening called An Evening In Wonderland(after being there the name makes sense because I was noticing a lot of the property had an Alice in Wonderland-y feel to it), but were kind enough to let us invade their space for a couple of hours. Thank you Shabby House ladies!!

Another Miss A- Boise Senior Photographer

This awesome senior was referred to me by a senior from last year and I'm so thankful because not only is "A" beautiful, she is also talented!! I learned that she plays hockey (on a coed team!!!) AND lacrosse (two sports I think take a bit of guts to play). Also, I learned that she wants to go to school to learn graphic arts and all that surrounds that...she even created a logo for a sports tournament that's going to be used! A- when you get great at designing (because I know you will) shoot an email with some examples! I wasn't kidding when I said you should do some album designing for me;) Thanks Mom and boyfriend for coming along and helping!! Here's your sneak peek, enjoy!

This beautiful senior happens to be a friend of mine (like most of the seniors I photograph) and my double (we have the same name). I'm really excited to see what God has in store for her after high school because she has such a big heart for missions and people. New Year, New Goals

Okay, maybe they're not so new. They're things I've been meaning to do but just haven't started yet. I've never really made "new years resolutions" before and I don't really intend on starting because so many people make them and then quit not too far into them. These are my goals. Yes, I will fail at times but they're things I'm working towards. If I start to slide in one area I can always jump back in! That all being said, let me begin my short list that I'm sure will grow with this year.

1. To blog more often. (If you read back you'll see that I only blog when I have shoots and I'd like to change that. I want to blog about life and all it's happenings. I love journaling and remembering and documenting so why not do it for everyone else to real....all my two blog readers ;)

2. To carry my camera around with me more often which will hopefully result in me taking more pictures which will then lead to me blogging more instead of having them sit on my hard drive. I'm hoping that it will also stretch me creatively to try new things and see a different way.

3. To create a photography website because this is all I have right now and websites look a lot more professional.

4. To get a gym membership (what? isn't that what most people do this time of year). Sure, I wouldn't mind losing weight but I mostly just want to be in shape and healthy. Plus, I'm going to be playing indoor soccer here soon and I'd rather not have people running circles around me! Ha!

That's all I have for now. I know my list will grow and I also hope that it will dwindle...in a good way. Dwindle because I will be crossing things off my goal list that I have accomplished.

What a beautiful young woman!! I've known K for a short time because we go to the same church but this session allowed us to get to know each other so much more! We have so much in common it's crazy but really cool!

The Lemesurier Family

I can't get enough of how beautiful this family is, both on the inside and the outside. They are so easy going and that made this photo shoot such a blast!! It barely even felt like a shoot! We met out in Kuna at Cabalos Apple Orchard (such an awesome location to shoot) and picked apples....and ate them. Oh yea, and we took pictures too! Baby L is a month away from being a year old and we wanted to capture some of her and the family together because she's growing up so fast and about to be a big sister. She also REALLY loves apples. She ate them the whole time!

My business partner, Zach of Zalpix Media Group, came with to capture some video of their beautiful relationship. The video isnt ready yet but be sure to check back within the next couple of weeks. They aren't only cool because we share the same last name (no we're not related) but because they are such a fun, loving and awesome family! With kids ranging from age 7 down to almost 2 they've definitely got their hands full but the kids are great!! We met up this evening on one of my favorite streets and walked the alley ways stopping when we saw cool places.

Miss L- Senior Class of 2009

My partner in crime!! I was super excited for this session because we are good friends and I knew that she'd be up for some fun and possibly crazy ideas. She was...and she even brought props!! L was up for anything and even helped me find some new places to take pictures!! It was nice having this session because it also gave us a chance to catch up.

Mr. N - Senior 2009

Lots of laughs were had at this session...mostly at my expense and because of jokes that go back a bit :) Today, was even more beautiful today and this time I put sunscreen on, no sunburn for me! We started down in the beautiful north end and got some great shots of N with his lacrosse gear. Then, we moved closer to the downtown area to this spot I saw at yesterday's shoot and thought it would be an awesome place to have him with his cello...yes, his cello! He's being playing for eight years, how awesome is that?! Anyways, we ended up downtown to wrap up the session and got some great shots in a coffee shop and outside. Enjoy!!

Volleyball Superstar S!! - Senior 2009

This fiery red head is not only an awesome amazing rad volleyball player, she's also an awesome amazing rad person! We had a lot of fun starting at Kathrine Albertsons Park (what photographer doesn't go there)?!? Because it was such a beautiful day the park was packed but we managed to find some amazing hidden places. We then moved our way downtown and turned some heads with volleyball serves, minus actually hitting the ball, in the middle of the street...shhhhh ;)
She's so close to being done with school and then is off not long after to do great things with YWAM. I'm very excited for her! It was such a difficult task to pick which pictures to put up on here but I couldn't wait any longer so I snagged a couple of my favorites and edited them quickly so that she could see them. Enjoy!! Thanks to her sister for being my assistant you were very very helpful!

Yep, M graduates reeeaaalllyy soon. Boise finally decided to let us have a beautiful spring day and we definitely took advantage of it. It was a bit windy though but we trucked on through!! He did a great job and Im really excited for the family to see these and to see what in store for him in the near near future!!

Little E was an absolute doll!! The cutest little red head ever! She wasn't quite a newborn (8 or 9 weeks) but she was just as adorable! Chirping and smiling away the whole shoot...almost. Can't have a newborn shoot without some crying :) Anyways, I had a tough time choosing which pictures to post because she is so dang adorable but these were a couple of my favorites. Enjoy!!

I went to my first worship concert last night and it was amazing!!!! It was short, but amazing regardless. A local band, The Waiting Kind, and Leeland were the two bands playing and both were amazing. Leeland, the person and the whole band's heart for God and worship is amazing!! They are such an encouragement and blessing and Im really excited that they are playing a free worship concert tonight. Leeland two nights in a row...yea baby!!!
